This article applies only to WELL at scale
After you subscribe to WELL at scale, one of your first steps is taking the WELL Scorecard survey. This optional survey is designed to help you assess your organization’s policies, operations, and designs against WELL strategies at a high level and help identify features parts your organization can likely pursue.
Upon completion of the survey, your suggested WELL Scorecard will populate based on the results, and the survey will no longer display on the WELL Scorecard dashboard. Your answers to the survey do not lock in your scorecard–the survey is a good starting point and will help you identify features of interest to prioritize, but you can change your responses later as needed.
The survey does not have to be completed all at once–after you have started, just click the “Save & Exit” button at the top right of each page at any point to save the rest for later.
To start the survey:
- Sign in to your WELL account.
- Open your WELL at scale dashboard.
- Navigate to the WELL Scorecard tab.
- Click “Help me build my scorecard” at the top right of your page.
- Choose which of the three categories (listed below) you would like to start with and click “Select.”
-
Design
- The design category focuses on the relationship between a building and its occupants–for example, lighting design, air quality and furniture.
-
Operations
- The operations category focuses on maintenance and operations protocols–for example, building maintenance procedures, purchasing protocols and food service policies.
-
Policy
- The policy category focuses on benefits and policies–for example, employee benefits, workplace wellness and educational programs.

- The numbers to the right side of each item indicate the maximum number of points that you can achieve by pursuing the feature part or parts described by the statement.
- “P” indicates that this feature is a precondition–preconditions are not a requirement at the organization level, but they must be achieved by any individual locations pursuing WELL Certification.
- Click the link icon to read about the relevant feature part in the digital standard.

- Complete this process for each category.
- When you have finished all 3 categories, click the “Save and exit” button at the top right to return to the main Scorecard page, then click “I’m finished. Let’s chat!” Your coaching contact will then contact you to coordinate time to review your results and outline your next steps.
- Your survey answers align with WELL feature parts and will populate into your WELL Scorecard as follows; you can change these tags in the scorecard at any time:
- Supportive - aligned WELL feature parts will be tagged as ‘Yes’ in the scorecard
- Explore further - aligned WELL feature parts will be tagged as ‘Maybe’ in the scorecard
- Not interested - aligned WELL feature parts will be tagged as ‘No’ in the scorecard
- Your team should review the WELL feature parts tagged as a ‘Yes’ in the scorecard to confirm you can meet those specific feature requirements.
- You can see the results of your Scorecard survey by toggling to the Analyze view in your WELL scorecard:
