Opt in to a WELL Rating (for existing WELL Certification or WELL at scale projects)

  • Updated

Projects pursuing WELL Certification and organizations subscribed to WELL at scale may choose to pursue one or more WELL Ratings (Health-Safety, Equity or Performance). To opt in to a WELL Rating for your existing project or organization, see the instructions below.

  • Organizations applying WELL at scale may pursue unlimited WELL Ratings (WELL Health-Safety Rating | WELL Equity Rating | WELL Performance Rating) at their subscribed locations. Opting in to a WELL Rating is simple. Just follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to your WELL at scale account.
    2. Click the WELL Rating (WELL Health-Safety, WELL Performance or WELL Equity) that you are interested in on the left-hand side of your screen.
    3. Click "Confirm the enrollment".

After you have opted in, you can view and customize your WELL Rating scorecard. If necessary, be sure to update your targeted milestones to reflect your decision to pursue a Rating.

Opt in to ratings for initial achievement along with WELL at scale documentation

You may opt in to pursue a rating or multiple ratings along with WELL at scale documentation review during a review cycle.

If a rating feature is deemed equivalent to a v2/v2 pilot feature, you do not need to upload the same documents under both scorecards (the rating scorecard and the v2/v2 pilot scorecard). To avoid documents being uploaded under both scorecards, follow the steps below:

Navigate to the WELL at scale - rating scorecard (HSR, WER, WPR)

    Audit requirements

    • Certain rating features (similar to v2/v2 pilot features) are subject to audit. More details on which verification methods and features are subject to audit are detailed here
    • If pursuing a rating for the first time, the audit locations will be selected within the rating scorecard as shown below. Click the text indicating the number of locations that require documents to see which locations have been chosen.

    Documentation requirements

Complete the rating specific scorecard by following the guidance below:

    • If the v2/v2 pilot features have already been achieved under the WELL at scale scorecard and are deemed equivalent to the rating feature based on the alignment tool (linked below), simply upload the alignment tool under the rating scorecard following the document upload instructions (tagging to all relevant rating feature parts and locations pursuing this feature).
      • NOTE: The alignment tool should be tagged to all the locations pursuing the rating in that review cycle
    • If the rating features are being pursued for the first time, upload rating specific documents within the rating Documents tab for every feature that the project team wishes to pursue
      • Then, upload the rating-specific alignment tool (linked below) in the v2/v2 pilot WELL at scale scorecard for all the rating features that are deemed equivalent to the rating feature. Make sure to tag to all relevant v2/v2 pilot feature parts and locations pursuing this feature.

    Milestone award

As noted in the WELL Program Guidebook, a rating achievement milestone will be awarded only during round 2 of a review cycle.

    • Pending document approval, the project will receive the rating report along with the WELL at scale report if the project has achieved any rating milestone.
  • Projects pursuing WELL Certification can opt in to pursue a WELL Rating (Health-Safety, Equity or Performance) as an additional milestone. If you choose to opt in and submit for both Certification review and a Rating review within the same review cycle, there will be no additional charge. If you choose to pursue separate reviews, there will be a flat fee of $3,000.

To opt in to a WELL Rating:

    1. Sign in to your WELL account.
    2. Click the WELL Rating you'd like to opt in to on the navigation pane on the left side of the screen.
