As organizations across the globe use the WELL Building Standard, they provide invaluable feedback that helps evolve the standard to achieve greater impact through a more streamlined process. The quarterly addenda reflects our commitment to continuous co-creation and evolution and is the reflection of input from our internal teams, customers, IWBI advisors, Governance Council and broader WELL community.
Projects can take advantage newer iterations of WELL through the addenda and Skybridge tools.
Addenda
IWBI releases changes to its existing standards and programs through quarterly addenda. The addenda may include updated language requirements, clarified program rules or other changes to help projects better utilize WELL.
Adopt the latest quarterly addenda to take advantage of these useful changes.
Skybridge
WELL is under constant evolution, which is why the standard has evolved from WELL v1 into WELL v2 pilot, and most recently, into WELL v2. New versions of WELL are released when:
-
There is a significant change to the framework of WELL concepts or features
-
There are major programmatic changes affecting awards
-
There are programmatic changes affecting implementation
Projects enrolled in earlier versions of the WELL Building Standard can leverage these enhancements with a tool called WELL Skybridge, which provides guidance about how features map across versions.
Use the WELL Skybridge tools to upgrade to our latest version of the standard.
