After each round of review, your organization will receive a progress report that contains the results of your review. The report includes an executive summary, a summary of your achievements, a description of the status of each document you have submitted including comments from the reviewers, and a summary of your score by feature. First, download your progress report, then use this article to learn how to interpret your results.
This page will explain what information you can find on each tab of the progress report and how to interpret it.
Executive summary
The best place to start when reading your review report is the Executive Summary tab. The information contained on this tab may vary slightly depending on the specifics of your review, but it usually includes:
- An overview of your results from this review round including your WELL Score, if applicable, as well as a summary of the scope of your subscription
- A summary of your organization’s goals for this review round
- A summary of key outcomes, including any milestones achieved and a description of your progress toward any other milestones you are pursuing
- Recommended next steps
Next, we’ll take a look at each tab of the spreadsheet.
Achievements Summary
This tab contains a detailed description of any achievements (Precertification, Certification or Ratings) earned by your locations, as well as information about points earned by each location. Some sections described below may not be present in your progress report depending on which milestones you are pursuing.
The “Average Achievement Across Locations” table displays the average optimization points and % of preconditions achieved across all of your locations.
The larger table below contains several sections with important information about each location. The first few columns of this table include basic information about each location, including the name, addenda version, area, etc.
Milestone Summary
The Milestone Summary section contains two subsections: “Achieved Previous Rounds” and “Achieved This Round.”
- “Achieved previous rounds” displays milestones earned in previous reviews.
- “Achieved this round” only contains the current review round. Each column will indicate whether a location has earned the specified milestone, and in the case of WELL Certification, at which level.
Scroll further to the right to see the WELL Precertification & WELL Certification Summary sections.
WELL Precertification Summary & WELL Certification Summary
The “All preconditions met” column indicates whether a location has achieved all of the preconditions required for WELL Precertification or Certification.
The 'Optimization Point Threshold Met?' column indicates whether the location has achieved the minimum number of optimization points required to achieve Precertification.
The 'Optimization Points Achieved' column shows the total number of optimization points achieved by location.
WELL Ratings Summary
Next, you’ll see a summary for each WELL Rating. This section simply contains the total number of points attempted and points achieved for each location. Each column header indicates the number of points required to achieve each rating.
WELL Certification Breakout
In the WELL Certification Breakout, you will find the percentage of preconditions achieved at each location by concept, as well as the number of optimization points achieved by concept.
Legal Entity Name
If your subscription contains more than one legal entity, this section will show which entity each location belongs to.
Next Steps by Location
This tab contains the recommended next steps by the reviewers in order to achieve your goals. If a location did not achieve a feature part, this tab might explain why, and the actions you can take to ensure successful achievement in your next review.
For example, in the image below, the team did not upload a technical document for feature part L02.1, so this part could not be reviewed–to resolve this issue, the project team would need to upload the missing document before submitting for the next round of review.
Scoring by Part
The various Scoring by Part (Scoring by part - v2, Scoring by part - WER, etc.) tabs show the current status of all WELL feature parts that you pursued across each location. In the main section of this tab, each part attempted will show a status. The possible statuses are:
-
Missing PV Data
- Indicates that performance verification data has not been submitted (this is only indicated for Preconditions)
-
Missing Photos
- Indicates that photographs have not been submitted (this is only indicated for Preconditions)
-
Partially Met
- Indicates some but not all documentation has been provided for that part
-
Pending
- Indicates that a document has not been approved - check the Document Rulings tab to learn why
-
P in Cell
- A green cell with "P" indicates a Precondition has been met
-
Points in Cell
- A green cell with a number indicates how many points have been achieved
-
Blank
- A blank cell indicates the location was not tagged for that Part
WELL Score
If your organization is eligible for a WELL Score, this tab will detail how your score was calculated.
Your WELL Score is calculated based on the number of points achieved at each of your locations and is weighted based on the number of people impacted by your achievements at each location - see page 22 of the WELL Program Guidebook for a detailed explanation of how this score is calculated. In simple terms, the score contribution from each location is the total number of points earned multiplied by the location weighting factor in column D.
In the image below, Example 4 earned 49 points and has a location weighting factor of 11.33%. Therefore, this location contributes 5.55 points to the WELL Score:
49 x 11.33% = 5.55
Document Rulings
The Document Rulings tabs explain the status of each document you submitted for review. Depending on your review submission, you may have multiple Document Rulings tabs–for example, if you are targeting the Health-Safety Rating as well as WELL v2 and v2 pilot Certification in this review cycle, each milestone will have a separate tab.
You can find the document status in column AA and relevant comments in AB. Columns AC and AD show the points awarded, if applicable. The columns to the right starting with AE show the locations the document was assigned to–if a document was assigned to a location, “Assigned” will appear in the corresponding cell.
- Approved: This document fulfills the requirements for the feature part. No further action is required.
- Pending: Due to an issue with this document, it has not yet been approved. The Review Comments column (column AB) explains your next steps to address the issue.
- Support Document: This document was provided as additional support documentation for another document for this part and was not reviewed separately; no further action is required.
