During the period from initial certification until the recertification enrollment date, you are encouraged to consider the following:
- Update your Project team, specifically the project administrator: Make sure that your project team - project administrator, owner, and other members are accurately recorded on the Team tab. All project communications, such as annual reporting and recertification reminder emails are sent to the project administrator listed in your WELL account.
- Project boundary updates: Are there any updates to the project boundary after initial certification? This could be change in ownership, adding more floors, excluding any floor due to ownership changes, etc. Learn more about project boundary updates at the time of recertification.
- Level of certification: You have the option to pursue additional features at the time of recertification and increase your project's certification level.
- Version of WELL: You have the option to pursue recertification under the same version as the initial certification or upgrade to WELL v2. You can use the following tool to conduct a gap analysis to understand what it would mean to upgrade your project to WELL v2.
Recertification tools:
Projects are only required to upgrade to the then-current version of WELL at the second recertification (6-year mark). For example: If your project achieved initial certification in 2019 under WELL v1, recertification in 2022 can be under WELL v1. Any succeeding recertifications will require WELL v2 or later versions of WELL.
Pricing for recertification is dependent on the version under which you plan to pursue recertification and any project boundary updates.
