Documentation requirements for multiple locations at renewal

  • Updated

Certain WELL Health-Safety features require the submission of location-specific audit documents at renewal to check that WELL Health-Safety Rating requirements are being consistently met at the project level.

Features that are verified by the following require an audit:

  • Ongoing maintenance report
    • SA2: Assess and Maintain Air Treatment Systems, SA3: Develop Legionella Management Plan, SA5: Manage Mold and Moisture
  • On-site photographs
    • SC1: Support Handwashing, SC5: Reduce Respiratory Particle Exposure, SH5: Promote a Smoke-Free Environment, SS2: Share Food Inspection Information
  • Professional narrative
    • SC2: Reduce Surface Contact, SA1: Assess Ventilation, SA2: Assess and Maintain Air Treatment Systems
  • Technical document
    • SA3: Develop Legionella Management Plan, SI1: Innovation I, SI2: Innovation II, SI3: Innovation III, SI4:  Innovation IV, SI5: Innovation V, SI6: Gateways to Health-Safety
    • Projects that achieved an Innovation feature using Option 2 - WELL AP are not required to submit audit documentation at the time of renewal. The previously approved/awarded innovation feature will be awarded as long as the project is not upgrading to a newer version of a WELL Rating.

The number of audit locations is the square root (rounded down) of the total number of projects that are pursuing the feature.

For example, if your project achieved feature SC5: Reduce respiratory particle exposure during the initial achievement for 41 locations and plans to maintain that feature on its renewal scorecard, you must provide audit documentation for 6 locations to confirm ongoing compliance with the feature.

After you confirm your WELL Health-Safety locations, IWBI will provide a list of the audit locations for corresponding features. You can download the audit locations list from the Documents tab >> General. The project administrator will be notified by email when the audit list is available under the Documents tab in the project workspace.

If your project was registered before April 18, 2023 and you completed the Multiple Projects Documentation Sharing form as part of your initial achievement, you must complete it again and submit it as a General document for renewal.

If your project was registered after April 18, 2023 and you did not complete the Multiple Projects Documentation Sharing form, you do not need to complete this form for renewal.
