Well-being: A new cornerstone for ESG strategy and reporting
IWBI is collaborating with Deloitte on a series of papers focusing on the well-being in ESG strategy and human and social capital management at an organizational scale. This first paper, released in Jan 2022, offers new insights on how the evolution of well-being in the workplace is pushing employers to take an integrated approach to establishing a culture that not only takes physical hazardous elements out of the workplace, but also addresses and helps support employees’ overall physical and mental well-being. The paper expands on Deloitte’s consulting model on future of work and explores well-being against the backdrop of an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework. In particular, work, the workforce and workplace are considered through the lens of corporate, environmental and societal factors. These are the three pillars on which employers can build and support a culture of well-being.
Well-being: Moving from effort to effect
The second paper published by Deloitte, in collaboration with IWBI, was released in April 2022. The paper expands on trends that are pushing leaders to address the multifaceted aspects of well-being. It calls for an integrated approach and argues that leaders who consider and treat well-being as a material ESG topic and part of their culture are positioning their organizations for success.
