What is Performance Verification coordination?
Performance Verification (PV) Coordination is the process where IWBI contracts a Performance Testing Provider (PTP) to provide on-site testing for your project. IWBI requests fee proposals from up to 3 WELL PTPs to complete the PV for your project. The proposals are reviewed and IWBI will award the PV contract to the chosen PTP.
Through PV coordination, your team can expect a smooth, efficient process with several advantages, including a reduced administrative burden and accurate proposals, as well as standardized and predictable fees.
Once the contract has been confirmed, you will receive an email introducing your project team to the selected Performance Testing Provider's agent(s) and an invoice for the performance testing services.
You will then be able to work together with the chosen Performance Testing Provider to schedule and execute the PV.
Can any project request PV coordination?
All WELL Certification projects, as well as WELL at scale subscribers, can request PV coordination.
If a WELL v1 project is undergoing initial testing, they must request that IWBI coordinate the PV. Retesting and PV for WELL v1 recertification projects are not required to request PV coordination.

Is there an additional cost if IWBI coordinates the PV for me?
No, there are no additional costs for IWBI to coordinate the PV on your behalf. However, if your preferred date for on-site testing is within 4 weeks of the date of the initial request, you would need to submit an expedited PV Scheduling request. Expedited PV Scheduling Requests come with an additional fee of $10,000, which will be invoiced through the project's WELL online account.
Will I get to choose which WELL PTP completes the PV?
While you can note your preferred PTP on the PV coordination request form, we are not able to guarantee that they will be awarded the PV.
How is the WELL PTP chosen?
The PTP is chosen based on the following factors:
- Proximity to the project location
- Quality control score
- The accuracy of their proposal in terms of sample numbers and locations, and costing
