Occupant calculation

  • Garden area: Area of gardens or greenhouses with food-bearing plants
  • Edible area: Area of edible landscaping (e.g., fruit trees, herbs)
  • Hydro/aero: Area of hydroponic or aeroponic farming systems
  • Required area: Total effective area required based on number of occupants
  • Total effective area: The amount of gardening space available. Total effective area = garden area + edible area + (hydro or aero area * 2)
