This article explains what tasks are and how to view them. The instructions in this article apply to WELL at scale and WELL Ratings accounts (except Health-Safety Rating accounts created before April 18, 2023).
What are tasks?
A task is an indicator that you must provide documentation for an option. When you assign an option or alternative to a location from your WELL at scale scorecard, a task is created to help you easily determine which documents you must upload. You can view tasks and upload the required documents from the Scorecard or Documents Library tabs of your WELL at scale account or from the Assigned Tasks tab of an individual location within your WELL at scale subscription. The rest of this article will assume that you have already assigned options to locations on your WELL at scale scorecard.
When and why do I use tasks?
Tasks are important for several reasons:
- Tasks allow you to easily see which verification methods you must upload for each option.
- Tasks allow you to see which locations have been selected for audit for feature parts that have audited verification methods.
- Tasks provide an easy way to see at a glance which verification requirements you have not yet fulfilled.
Tasks are a helpful way for you to see what documents you still need to provide based on the features you are pursuing. It’s important to check your tasks before you submit for a review to make sure you have uploaded all of the required documentation for the features you expect to achieve during the review cycle.
How do I view tasks?
-
- Open your Scorecard tab.
- Click the feature you want to see tasks for.
- Go to the Verification section.
- Scroll down to ‘Tasks’.
-
To view tasks in the Documents Library, simply open the Documents Library tab and you will see a list of all pending tasks.
Click the text that indicates the number of locations pursuing an option to see which locations have pending documentation requirements.
When you are ready to upload documents to fulfill the task, click the Upload button - see Uploading your WELL at scale documentation for more details.
-
You can also view and fulfill tasks from a subscribed location account. This is a great way to double check your work before a review when you expect to achieve a milestone at a specific location during a review. For example, if you expect to achieve WELL Certification at a certain location during your next review, check that location’s tasks to make sure you’ve met all of the preconditions and all of the features you expect to earn before you submit.
- Go to the subscribed location account and open the Assigned Tasks tab.
- Select the applicable program from the tabs at the top of the page (WELL v2 or a Rating; defaults to WELL v2).
You can filter the page by verification method, part type or concept, and use the toggle on the page to show Pending tasks, Fulfilled tasks, or all tasks.
- Find the feature part you would like to upload documentation for on the list.
- Click Upload.
- Click ‘Upload a file’ to select a file, then click the Upload button to finish.
- Go to the subscribed location account and open the Assigned Tasks tab.
Why is the Assigned Tasks tab empty on my subscribed location?
There are several possible reasons for tasks to not show on your Assigned Tasks tab:
Version mismatch
This location’s version of WELL does not match the WELL at scale account (e.g., this location is subscribed under v2 pilot but the WELL at scale account is v2).
The subscribed location’s scorecard version must match the WELL at scale scorecard in order for tasks to appear. Addenda do not need to match.
For example:
- A v2 location within a v2 WELL at scale account: ✅
- A v2 location within a v2 pilot WELL at scale account: ⛔
No assignments in WELL at scale scorecard
There are two possible reasons for this error:
- No features have been assigned to this location in the WELL at scale account. Coordinate with your WELL at scale account administrator to resolve this issue.
- You have set filters that do not return any results. To resolve this, check the Pending/Fulfilled/All toggle, and clear any filters.
