Pursuing concurrent documentation and performance review

  • Updated

This article applies only to single-location WELL Certification projects that are not part of a WELL at scale subscription. Concurrent reviews are always available to WELL at scale subscribers with no additional action required.

What is a concurrent review?

A concurrent review is when a WELL Certification project would like to submit for both documentation and performance review at the same time.

When submitting for a concurrent review, two review phases will be available:

  1. Preliminary Concurrent Documentation and Performance Review
  2. Final Concurrent Documentation and Performance Review*

The review timeline for a concurrent review is 20-25 business days after documentation is submitted.

Projects should select the concurrent review option prior to submitting for a preliminary documentation review. However, if a preliminary documentation review has already occurred, the project will still have two concurrent review options available, as outlined below.

  1. Concurrent Final Documentation and Performance Review
  2. Final Performance Review

What are the basic requirements for concurrent review?

To be eligible for concurrent review:

  • Construction must be complete.
  • Your project must be pursuing WELL v2 or v2 pilot Certification or WELL v2, v2 pilot or v1 recertification (v1 projects pursuing initial certification are not eligible for concurrent review).

  • All documentation and passing Performance Verification results must be submitted together at the time of Concurrent Documentation and Performance Review.

What information is required to schedule Performance Verification?

You must confirm that all items listed below can be provided in advance of on-site testing:

  • Project Information and Performance Estimator Tool (PIP): Complete and uploaded to the project WELL Online Dashboard
  • Scorecard listing all features being pursued or current documentation review report
    • Note: For any features that have an option of a performance test pathway or other verification method (i.e. L01), the project team should clearly list in the scorecard which option is being pursued.
  • For v1 projects only:
    • Floor Plans: Project Boundary, Furniture Layout, and Room Names
    • Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
  • Recertification Tool

How do I request a concurrent review?

To submit for concurrent review, confirm that your project meets all of the requirements listed above. From your project’s Review tab, select "Concurrent Documentation and Performance Review”.
