Reactivate an expired WELL Rating account

  • Updated

After you have achieved a WELL Rating, you have 12 months to begin your renewal process. Your renewal application extends the validity of your rating for an additional 3 months which means that projects can communicate as being WELL Rated for the 3 months when they complete the renewal process.

However, if you did not enroll for renewal before the expiry date, then the project’s rating is considered expired and the project team will need to reactivate the account to proceed with the renewal process.

To reactivate your account and proceed with renewal, you must pay a reactivation fee of $1,000 plus the renewal fee. Once both fees are paid and after successful completion of the review process, your achievement date will be based on when your renewal review is complete (i.e., the achievement date will be reset) which gives the project a full year of rating validity.

If you begin renewal for your project within the initial 12-month period but do not successfully complete review within 15 months, the project team has the option to proceed with the renewal with an achievement date that will be based on the initial achievement date or choose to pay the reactivation fee of $1000, where after renewal review the achievement date will be reset to when the review is completed.
