This tool provides your organization with a summary of how your organization’s WELL achievements can contribute to progress towards the SDGs. This tool also generates language that can be incorporated into your ESG and CSR reporting, with information on SDG progress in the context of engagement with WELL. Organizations using WELL v2 pilot can access a simplified version of this tool.
Before using the impact report, review the WELL | SDGs - Overview and Instructions tabs for background information and instructions. Note that this report downloads as a blank template, without any scorecard or achievement data built in.
For subscriptions that have received WELL at scale review results:
These instructions will help your organization to report on achieved WELL features that align with the SDGs. Watch this video or read the instructions below.
- In the impact report (WELL | SDGs Alignment tab), enter your organization’s name into Cell B2. Then, starting in cell D14, type “achieved” into Column D cells for any feature parts that have been achieved across all locations in the subscription. For more information on how to identify these feature parts, visit this article.
- Using the example scoresheet (above), “achieved” responses have been entered for A01.1, A01.2, A02.1, A08.2, A09.1, and A10.1.
- Review the information in the header of this tab:
-
In Cell B6, note the number of SDGs aligned with WELL at scale achievements.
- In this example, 6 SDGs are aligned with achieved strategies. The organization has achieved strategies within WELL that are aligned with 6 of the 17 SDGs.
- In Cells F10-V10, note the specific SDGs aligned with WELL at scale achievements (denoted with an “A” under the Goal number).
- In this example, the 6 SDGs that are aligned with achieved strategies are Goals 3, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 17. Note that Goal 14 is not aligned with any WELL features, and the SDGs impact report tool may not be used to report progress against this Goal.
-
In Cells K6-V6, note achieved SDG-aligned strategies within each WELL concept (as well as overall).
- In this example, WELL achievements are most aligned with Goal 17 (50% of the aligned strategies are achieved), Goal 7 (14%), and Goal 13 (8%).
- For an SDG-based view of SDG-WELL alignments, visit the SDGs | WELL Alignment tab. This tab provides target-based alignment information for achieved WELL strategies, as well as a summary of the number of SDGs with achieved strategy alignments (consistent with the information in the WELL | SDGs Alignment tab).
- In this example, WELL achievements are aligned with 6 SDGs, and feature-specific achievements for A01.1 and A01.2 are contributing to Goal 3, Targets 3.4 and 3.9.
- Review the Content and Reporting tab for useful, relevant language relating to your organization’s WELL commitment or documented WELL achievement. Achieved WELL strategies will populate with impact statements in Column C of this tab.
- In this example, achieved strategies A01.1, A01.2, A02.1, and A08.2 have impact statements, which can be copied directly from this tool and pasted into your organization’s reporting.
- Review the Summary tab for high-level information on how your WELL commitment contributes to progress against the SDGs. This tab populates automatically based on “achieved” responses entered in the WELL | SDGs Alignment tab. Each of these Goals is listed with a short description: for example, this organization’s WELL progress contributes to Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, which aims to Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
In the Top alignments section, the top three SDGs aligned with achieved WELL strategies (consistent with Step 5) are listed, along with the percentage of aligned strategies that the organization has achieved.
Below each top SDG, the tool lists a short summary of how WELL contributes to this SDG. For example, WELL can contribute to Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals by: “increasing the availability of high-quality and reliable data by encouraging the use of sensors and surveys to gather data on environmental quality and demographic access to health services, respectively.”

These instructions will help your organization to report on targeted WELL features that align with the SDGs. Watch this video or read the instructions below.
- In your WELL account, visit the Scorecard tab to download your organization’s WELL scorecard. In the impact report (WELL | SDGs Alignment tab), starting in cell D14, enter scorecard responses (Yes, No, Maybe, or blank) into Column D cells.
- In this example, scorecard responses have been copied and pasted into Column D.
- Review the information in the header of this tab:
- In Cell B4, note the number of SDGs aligned with “Yes” responses. This number represents targeted alignments, where the organization intends to achieve these features, which will result in alignments with the respective SDGs.
- In Cell B5, note the number of SDGs aligned with “Maybe responses. This number represents additional potential alignments, where if the organization ultimately achieves these features, this will also result in alignments with these SDGs.
- Differentiating between targeted and potential alignments is intended to show teams where they’re likely to align with SDGs (based on “Yes” responses) and where they might be able to leverage additional alignments (based on identifying “Maybe” responses and evaluating whether these can be achieved).
- In your WELL account, visit the Scorecard tab to download your organization’s WELL scorecard. In the impact report (WELL | SDGs Alignment tab), starting in cell D14, enter scorecard responses (Yes, No, Maybe, or blank) into Column D cells.

- In this example, the 13 SDGs that are aligned with “Yes” scorecard responses are Goals 1 - 13. The 3 SDGs that are aligned with “Maybe” scorecard responses are Goals 15-17. Note that Goal 14 is not aligned with any WELL features, and the SDGs impact report tool may not be used to report progress against this Goal.
